Jesse Spodick
Director of Annuity Sales

Jesse is responsible for successfully promoting John Hancock in the structured settlements industry.

Jesse's insurance career began as a claims adjuster for property casualty carriers. He joined the newly formed John Hancock Structured Settlements unit in 2002 as a Sales Executive. After a brief stint as a structured settlements broker, Jesse rejoined John Hancock as Director of Sales for the Pension Closeout product. He successfully managed that product until accepting the opportunity to once again work in structured settlements as the Director of Sales.

Jesse received a B.S. from the University of Connecticut. In 2003 he earned the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation from The University of Notre Dame. Jesse is an active member of The National Structured Settlement Trade Association, a licensed Life Accident and Health Insurance Broker and a Series 6 and 63 Registered Representative.

Betty Gregware
Sales Executive

Betty provides outstanding customer service for producers, aiding in the facilitation of claim resolution for both commercial and personal lines through the use of structured settlements

Betty's past experience includes several years of leadership positions with other structured settlement product providers including: Aviva Life Ins. Co., General Electric Capital Assurance Co., First Colony Life Ins. Co. and each of their New York affiliated companies. In addition, she has also held several leadership positions with multiple structured settlement brokerage firms including Superior Settlements and Financial Settlement Services.

Betty has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a Major in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. In 2003 she earned the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation from the University of Notre Dame, and she is a licensed Life agent. She is currently on the Board of Directors with the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and has contributed through committee membership, chairmanship, presentations and education seminars.

John Q. Adams
Sales Executive

John is primarily responsible for marketing, customer service, technical support and advocating for our producers.

Many in the structured settlements industry are familiar with John as he has been directly involved in structured settlements since 1986. John's past work experience includes: president/CEO of a structured settlements brokerage company, national marketing director for structured settlements brokerage firms, and most recently as a marketer for one of our competitors.

John has a B.A. from University of Massachusetts. He is an active member of The National Structured Settlement Trade Association, is a licensed Life Accident and Health Insurance Broker and holds a CPCU designation.

Francesca M. Bilodeau
Internal Sales Associate

Francesca is responsible for supporting the marketing and sales activities within John Hancock's Structured Settlement department. Her obligations consist of sales production, marketing, customer service, licensing, and event planning.

Francesca joins the Structured Settlements team with a number of years of marketing experience; she has implemented innovative ideas and marketing strategies throughout prior events.

Francesca received her B.A. in Communications, with a double minor in Marketing and Journalism from Stetson University in Deland, Florida.

Jason Weinstein
Internal Sales Associate

Jason Weinstein is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing activities for the Structured Settlements team. His duties entail sales production, customer service, promotions, event planning, and licensing.

Prior to joining the Structured Settlements team, Jason worked in operations within John Hancock Funds. Within the operations team Jason helped co-workers increase productivity and accuracy by creating job aids and implementing new initiatives, all while individually performing at a high level.

Jason received a B.S in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing from the School of Management at Boston University.

Carolyn Poliks, CSSC
Benefit Coordinator

Carolyn Poliks is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Post Sale Administration Team. This encompasses broker support including document review, first payments, and fielding broker questions.

Ms. Poliks has been in the Structured Settlement industry for over 17 years. Prior to joining John Hancock, she was with Cambridge Galaher Settlements where her responsibilities included pre- and post-settlement administration and supervising the sales support operation. She also spent time as a paralegal at a personal injury firm.

Ms. Poliks received a B.A. from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and earned her Certified Structured Settlement Consultant designation from the University of Notre Dame.

Edward J Buscema, FLMI
Structured Settlement Specialist

Edward Buscema assists in the Post Sales operations of Structured Settlements by processing new cases through the JH systems, coordinating contract issuance and releasing first payments. He also assists with document review and customer service.

Mr. Buscema has worked for John Hancock since 2002. Prior to working in Structured Settlements, he worked for the pension department in both pre and post retirement functions

Mr. Buscema received his BA in Mathematics and Theology from Assumption College in Worcester and his MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has received his Fellow, Life Management Institute from the Life Office Management Association.

Abigail Nguyen
Structured Settlement Specialist

Abigail Nguyen assists in the Post Sales operations of Structured Settlements by processing new cases through the JH systems, coordinating contract issuance, and releasing first payments.

Originally starting in Structured Settlements in 2004, Abigail has returned after working for the Pension department's Post Retirement area.

Abigail received her B.S. in English and Elementary Education from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA.

Christine Cox
Structured Settlement Specialist

Christine Cox assists in the Post Sales operations of Structured Settlements Department by releasing first payments, contract issuance, document reviews and customer service.

Christine has been in the Structured Settlements industry 10 years. Before joining John Hancock Christine was with Liberty Life Assurance Company of Boston, where her responsibilities included, processing death claims, reconciling daily reports, releasing payments, document review, address/EFT changes and customer service.

Sharon Correia
Structured Settlement Specialist

Sharon Correia assists in the daily support of the John Hancock Structured Settlement unit by answering broker questions regarding releasing first payments, documentation, and contract issuance.

Before joining the John Hancock team Sharon was with Liberty Life Assurance Company of Boston Structured Settlements for 8 years maintaining the premium and commission side of the department as well as answering broker questions regarding guidelines, documentation requirements, and assisting medical underwriting.

Sharon received her ACS from the LOMA program in 2006.

Rosemary Brindamour, RN, CSSC, CCM
Chief Medical Underwriter

Rosemary Brindamour is responsible for the medical underwriting group to offer rated ages based upon substandard mortality evaluated from current medical documents.

Rosemary has been affiliated with Structured Settlements since 1999 and is a leading expert in the Structured Settlement industry. Rosemary is a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant, a Registered Nurse and a Case Manager. Rosemary has been a Co Chairwoman of the Education Committee for the National Structured Settlement Trade Association and remains an active educational committee member and a member of the Certification Committee. She was awarded a leadership award at the 2006 National Trade Association annual meeting.

Mark Alpert, CLU
AVP & Senior Counsel

Mark Alpert is responsible for legal matters pertaining to product design, marketing and underwriting of the JH Structured Settlements program.

Mr. Alpert has been in the insurance industry for thirty-eight years with carriers and in private practice. He has been a member of the John Hancock Law Department for twenty-five years serving in various capacities.

Mr. Alpert was formerly Chair of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association Legal Committee. He is a graduate of Tufts University and Columbia University School of Law. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter and has completed the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School.
